Stop referring out work you could bill for.
Most firms don't have the time or specialists to take on every tax planning request. EquityNav prepares the plan, a licensed CPA reviews and signs it, and you deliver it on your letterhead and bill for it as your own.
No plan is released without a licensed CPA's signature.

The problem
Clients ask for more planning than most firms can staff.
Clients bring questions about Roth conversions, equity compensation, a business sale or gifting to the next generation. Answering them well takes senior time and specialist knowledge most firms don't have to spare, so the work gets declined, delayed or referred out.
Each referral is billable work leaving the firm, and often the start of the client relationship moving with it. Hiring specialists to keep that work is slow and expensive, and only pays off once there is enough of it to keep them busy all year.
- Today
- Specialist planning work is declined, delayed or referred to another firm. The billable hours leave with it, and growth is capped by how many senior people you can hire.
- With EquityNav
- The work stays with your firm. We prepare it, a licensed CPA signs it, and you deliver and bill for it under your name, taking on more planning clients without adding headcount.
How it works
How a plan moves from your files to your client.

EquityNav CPAs
A CPA reviews and signs
A licensed CPA checks each figure and recommendation against a written review checklist, makes corrections and signs the plan.
Your firm
Present it as your own
You receive a finished plan on your letterhead, typically within 10 business days.
Steps 2 and 3 are not visible to your client. Every page they receive carries your firm's name.
Who it's for
For firms that own the family relationship.
CPA firms
Add a planning practice without hiring planners. Your staff stays on returns and client meetings through busy season, and partners review finished plans instead of building them.
- Offer planning to more of your client base
- Keep capacity through filing deadlines
- Spend partner time on advice, not first drafts
Wealth management firms
Bring tax planning into every client review without building a tax department. Plans arrive ready for your advisors to walk through, and can be shared with the client's own CPA.
- Tax analysis as part of the annual review
- Planning that carries across generations
- No in-house tax team required

Trust and quality
A licensed CPA signs every plan.
Software prepares the first draft of each plan. A licensed CPA then reviews it, corrects it where needed and signs it before it is released to your firm. The review record is kept with every file.
- Review
- Every plan is checked by a licensed CPA in good standing against a written review checklist.
- Sign-off
- No draft is released to a partner firm without a CPA's signature and a recorded review.
- Data handling
- Files are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the staff assigned to your engagement, and every access is logged.
- Your clients
- We do not contact, market to or appear before your clients.
White-label
Your client sees your firm, and only your firm.
Plans are formatted to your firm's standards and written so your advisors can walk a family through them in a single meeting.
- Your logo and letterhead on every page
- Findings written for your advisors to present
- The CPA review recorded on the deliverable
- No EquityNav branding anywhere your client will see it

FAQ
Common questions from partner firms.
▶▼What is EquityNav Expert Services?
EquityNav Expert Services prepares multi-year family tax plans for CPA firms and wealth management firms. Our software drafts the analysis, a licensed CPA reviews, corrects and signs every plan, and the finished plan is delivered on the partner firm’s letterhead for the firm to present to its own clients.
▶▼Who reviews and signs the work?
Every plan is reviewed and signed by a licensed CPA on the EquityNav team. They check each figure, assumption and recommendation, make corrections where needed and record their sign-off on the plan. Your firm keeps the client relationship and decides what is presented.
▶▼What planning areas do the plans cover?
Plans cover multi-year tax projections, entity and business-owner planning, retirement and Roth conversion analysis, charitable giving, education funding, equity compensation, estate and gifting coordination, and multi-generational family planning.
▶▼How is this different from tax planning software?
Tax planning software still needs your staff to gather data, run scenarios and write up the results. EquityNav does that work for you and returns a finished plan that a licensed CPA has already reviewed and signed, so your team only presents it.
▶▼Can we bill our clients for plans you prepare?
Yes. The plan is delivered under your firm’s name as your work product, so you set the fee and bill the client directly. You pay EquityNav per completed plan, which lets you keep planning work in-house instead of referring it out.
▶▼Do you give advice to our clients?
No. EquityNav works only for professional firms. Your firm presents the plan and remains responsible for the advice given to your clients.
▶▼How is client data protected?
Client files are shared through an encrypted portal and stay encrypted in storage. Access is limited to the staff assigned to your engagement, and every access is logged.
▶▼How does pricing work?
Pricing is per completed plan, so you pay only for what you deliver. Founding partners receive preferred rates for their first 12 months.
▶▼How long does onboarding take?
Most firms are set up within two weeks. The first certified plan is typically returned about 10 business days after the client file is shared.
▶▼Does our client ever see your name?
No. Plans carry your firm’s name only, and EquityNav never contacts your clients.
▶▼How does this relate to the EquityNav software?
EquityNav also makes equity compensation planning software for advisors at equitynav.io. Expert Services is the CPA-led planning practice that covers the whole family tax picture and delivers finished, signed plans under your firm’s brand.
